When did you first start writing?
I've been doing a massive amount of self-reflection to determine what I really want to be doing over the past 16 months. I started writing Rental Secrets six months ago with a eye toward making a living as an author, speaker, and consultant.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My professional background is in residential property management and development. In 2017, I reached a point where I could stop and reflect on my past career and what I'd like to do going forward. While I was reflecting, the national conversation about housing, homelessness, and affordability was heating up once again across the US. Having been in that industry since 2003, I started taking stock of my career and really looking at what I might have to contribute to that conversation.
So writing Rental Secrets really helped me to put my previous career into perspective and transition into a role as a writer, speaker, and consultant.
