John Parker


John Parker writes extensively for a diverse variety of magazines and publications, including the medical press. He has also written adult non-fiction and fiction material: books, articles, concert and book reviews, drama, verse, short stories, and presentations for national radio. His acclaimed four-volume history of his country, Frontier of Dreams: The Story of New Zealand, is a multiple award-winner. He has published many books for children and teenagers in all genres.

His wide range of interests includes piano and singing, family, reading, church, chess, golf, skiing, cycling, and hiking. He has a keen interest in in living life as fully as possible in mind, body and spirit.

He is married, with two children and four grandchildren, and lives in Auckland, New Zealand.
