J Lynn Clark lives in Arkansas with her husband, two sons, two dachshunds and one dorkie. She works a full time job and has recently discovered her love for reading. Growing up reading was a punishment so it was never an enjoyment until now. Her boys helped with that. All the bedtime stories and summer reading programs helped show her a whole new world. She began making up stories to occupy her mind while doing laundry or the dishes. She started to write them down. While at Mexican Friday with her girls she told the story that had consumed her dream. With the encouragement of family and friends she finally wrote the story. Well that story just keeps growing and she keeps writing every chance she gets.
Describe your desk
It's my couch actually. I sit with a pillow in my lap while surrounded by my dogs. I sit at a desk all week so when I write I would rather do it from the couch.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
In Arkansas, the river valley. I'm not sure that my surroundings influenced me as much as my experiences have.
