Francis Wambua Mulwa
After attaining Division One in ‘O’ Levels (1972), Dr. (Prof.) Francis Wambua Mulwa (PhD) joined Kericho Teachers Training College. He taught for 2 years under TSC before joining Caritas Machakos where he worked for 15 years. He was later hired by Africa Development Education Network (ADEN), a NGO based at Harare, Zimbabwe, where he served as the CEO for 3 years. In 1992, Mulwa founded PREMESE Africa, a Development Training and Evaluation Consultancy Service. After about 10 years, this transformed its core-business from consultancy services to educational institutions in form of Premese Africa College, Premese ECD Institute, and Premese Schools. Mulwa lectured in three different Universities in Kenya within a span of 10 years since 2005.
Mulwa studied in the University of Nairobi’s Kikuyu Campus, Coady International Institute in Canada, the Institute of Social Studies at the Hague (Netherlands), the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, and the University of South Africa (UNISA) where he acquired his PhD in Development Studies. His 40 years of professional contribution in education and development sectors (both through training and publications) was recognized in 2012 when he was conferred Professorship at Kigali, Rwanda, by a University from n Spain.
