I am, as you can see, an old fellow who lives in the Fens. They are North of Watford and to the East of Peterborough on the bite that has been taken out of the East coast. All our family has come from here since the end of the nineteenth century. We were all Vicars. I used to be too until Archbishop Spong consecrated a divorcee Bishop.
Anyway, that's enough about me. How about you?
You are still looking good. You haven't changed a bit. Tell me, what's your secret?
An innocent romance in the English Fens leads to a nightmare as teenage Galina takes a job in a scientific establishment run by three sinister bureaucrats, one of them an EU Commissioner. What will she discover? What of the sinister Dr Mehta or the illegal immigrant Marek the Mongol? How will she get back to her native Lithuania to marry her lover in Vilnius Cathedral?
