Katherine Walden

Biography

Hello, I’m Katherine. I am a Christian, and my life is found in Christ, and so His name is sprinkled throughout the pages of this book. I live with a neurological disorder called Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, but my disability does not hinder me from living an active, productive life. I worked with Youth With A Mission for 13 years, eventually resettling in Alberta, Canada. However, my disability progressed to the point where I was no longer able to work in a regular work environment. After consulting with my doctors and after seeking the advice of trusted pastors and family members, I decided to hang up the traditional work hat, and I now live on a small disability pension.

Someone once said, "You can take the minister out of the pulpit but you can’t take the ministry out of the minister." I continue to minister around the world without taking a step from my apartment through the Internet. I Lift My Eyes Ministries, now known as Katherine Walden Ministries, was founded in 1996 and reaches thousands on a daily basis, reaching more people than I would have ever imagined when I was involved in missions! I continue to encourage and inspire fellow ‘not always all together’ brothers and sisters in Christ through my writings and one-on-one mentoring.

You can find me on Facebook and Twitter, as well as my website, katherinewalden.com. On occasion, you’ll find me popping up on Instagram and YouTube as well.
