Quinton Howitt

Quinton Howitt was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on the 30th of November 1970. He grew up in a small gold mining town and at the age of 19, moved to Johannesburg to begin his university studies. By 1994, he had completed degrees in Commerce and Industrial Psychology. Shortly thereafter, he began focussing on biblical and theological studies, obtaining a B.Th and M.Th. Over the next seven years, he worked with Chris Peppler to establish a private seminary, called the South African Theological Seminary (SATS). Over this period, he wrote upwards of 14 academic courses specifically designed to meet the needs of the contemporary pastor. Following his time at the seminary, he joined Bruce H. Wilkinson from Walk Thru, becoming his theological research director. This work took him into some of the most diseased and poverty stricken areas within Africa. It was during this time that he completed a D.Th. He currently works as Academic Dean and professor for the Vineyard Bible Institute, who partner with St Stephen's University in New Brunswick, Canada.
His motto for life is: "To teach simply, you must understand profoundly."
