R. A. Foreman

Biography

"High up in the Great Plains of New Mexico there was an earthquake. The earth shook violently, shattering mountains. The sun was sweltering, melting the faces off of the plains people and animals. All life was destroyed or fled the plains, besides Great Yucca, Horned Lizard, Cunning Snake, Mad Coyote, and a human child in which they all named Wolf in Wolves Clothing. They fed the young man cub green chili and wild game and he grew strong, but they soon realized that the boy would grow into a man so they released him, forcing him back into the human world. He was discovered floating down river when he was but four years old by a group of traveling storytellers who taught him to be civilized. (or as civilized as gypsies could be.) One day the gypsy camp was raided and all were killed but young "wolf" as the gypsies had called him. At the age of 12 he hunted down and killed every last raider, and didn't rest until he had. A nun on errand found him passed out due to exhaustion and dehydration, and carried him back to the monastery where he was know only as "feral". There he was taught about fear and punishment and also (more importantly) how to read and write. After a conflict with the priest, he burnt the monastery to the ground, fleeing the region. In search of purpose, he wandered the desert for ten years in search of his old family, but instead found a commune of hippies who accepted him because of his storytelling abilities. He learned about love, arguing, smoking pot, and using a computer. They also suggested that he change his name, and recommended it be a human name. He chose Rocky Ashcraft Foreman, and has been know as such ever since. He began writing in January of 2014, and has written collections of poetry, children's books, Novellas, essays on philosophy, shorts and flash fiction, and is working on his first and second full length novel. The man is an animal." - Author/Artist Thomas Wilkens
