Michelle Rae

I write for me.
But I also love to share what I write.

I started writing gay romance in 2008 due to my fascination with a genre that, at the time, was growing rapidly. I never thought it strange to be a woman writing gay romance and I have been very fortunate in the time I have been writing to meet many wonderful writers who share my passion.

I love creating something new and different with every story I write but I know I'm not amazing but I like to think all my stories are original and not so much clique.

During 2014, I started using beta readers to polish my stories. I have seen a huge improvement in my stories and I hope to go back over all my stories and get them edited and updated.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and if you have purchased on of my book I hope you find my style of writing enjoyable. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts.

Smashwords Interview

Describe your desk
I live in a little house with my family, so my work space is either the kitchen table once the evening meal has been completed and the table cleared or my bed (if the kitchen table is too messy and I can't be bothered cleaning it to work on)
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in 2007. My first book I wrote was for my son and it was a 'Choose your own challenge' book with a Hot Wheels Acceleracers theme. From there I started writing romance, just the one, when I discovered gay romance and I was writing all the time after that.

  • His Guilty Secret on Jan. 01, 2014

By far my favourite in the Aurigan Space series. The setting is unique and the stories original. Most can be read as stand alone, which is a big plus in this series. I would recommend this book and others written by LV Lloyd.
  • Lunar Affair on Jan. 01, 2014

Another great story in the Aurigan series. Always a lot of tension between the main characters and the plots are original and unique. This space series is like nothing I have read before and is really refreshing to read.
  • Dangerous Tension on Jan. 08, 2014

I've read a few of the books in this series already. Although this one does concern the relationship of a gay and straight man, I felt the story gave another dimension to Aurigan space series. It was written nicely and easy to read.
  • Rough Play on June 25, 2014

I've enjoyed all the books in the space series. The plots are well thought out and the characters are unique. Easy to read.
