What's the story behind your latest book?
The Education of Clark Westfield series (Lovely Rita, Curse of the Nice Guy, and Clark's Choice) is loosely based on my life with of course some dramatic embellishments and changes in characters to protect the innocent.
The Education of Clark Westfield is a three book series that starts with Lovely Rita (2016), continues with Curse of the Nice Guy (2017), and finishes with Clark’s Choice (planned 2018).
The trilogy chronicles the growth and development of Clark Westfield in a time when relationships were personal and not electronic. He comes of age in Lovely Rita, which is set in Denver, Colorado, in the spring of 1963. Clark reaches manhood in Curse of the Nice Guy, set in London, England, and Turkey in 1966/67. And five years later in Clark’s Choice he seeks maturity while living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Curse of the Nice Guy
Swinging London, international rugby, prostitutes, a pregnant woman, and a Turkish prison all contribute to the fun, excitement, heartache, and mortal danger that underlie the Curse of the Nice Guy.
Clark Westfield’s insular teenage life is thrown into turmoil by the arrival of Rita, a previously unknown older half-sister who arrives unexpectedly from England. His carefully constructed, socially isolated, cocoon-like personality struggles to withstand the growing internal and external pressures to change. Clark’s sexual awakening further complicates his life as he gradually opens up.
