Sean Higgins is a self-proclaimed superhero fanatic born in the great white north of Wisconsin and currently living with his family in the mountains of Virginia. In addition to writing the Raptor City series he runs a mystery dinner theater in Roanoke, Virginia and with his non-existent free time he enjoys karaoke and video games.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes I do. In grade school I was a fan of Encyclopedia Brown and the Clue book series that had the reader solve the mystery. Fourth and fifth grade I would often spend the majority of the time I was supposed to be learning writing similar stories and passing them to my friends to see if I could stump them.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
At the risk of sounding cliche I have to say my family. Writing is a need that I just can't do without but if it weren't for my incredible family I doubt I'd make it to my computer or notebook to get anything accomplished. Of course, there are still days when I'm grateful that laptops and notebooks are portable.
The world is changing. Evolutionary advances in technology, science, and the human mind have produced individuals that are more than human. Though these individuals have surfaced across the globe, it seems their presence is concentrated in a small number of hot spots.
Welcome to Raptor City.
