Levi Samuel was born in 1986 in Elk City Oklahoma, though he was raised in Springfield Missouri. While in high school, he discovered the game, Dungeons and Dragons, as well as a Live Action Role Playing group, where he truly discovered who he was. Graduating high school, he joined the Army, but quickly realized that wasn’t the life for him. He returned home and went to work in manual labor jobs. Being a quick study, he became a skilled tradesman in a number of fields, but the quest for happiness and purpose evaded him. In 2008 he became a father and has raised his daughter by himself ever since. In 2009, he decided to write a book, which was the start to a lifelong and rewarding career. His first book was published in 2013 under a penname. He’s since established a laundry list of qualifications and achievements. Levi lives with his daughter and their cat, Alona.

When did you first start writing?
In a weird way, I've been writing all my life. Though it was far from professional, or even intentional. I developed a love of role playing games, both live action and table top. It was these events that got me through my younger life. I would write up character story arcs, details, and sometimes even entire rule books. I didn't start writing professionally until 2009. Knowing my love of story line, a friend of mine suggested I write a book. After a few days thought, I decided that wasn't a bad idea. So I began. It was while I was working of that first book that I met some other authors and began growing in the industry. Now, I have several books under my collection of names, I have multiple celebrity friends, and despite my confusion as to why, I have numerous other authors, both big and small asking me for advise.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I've struggled with the latest book longer than I care to admit. However, life circumstances have been a major contributing factor to the delay. I had to pick up and move across state lines in order to take care of my Grandfather. It's been a difficult transition, but I'm finally getting back to my writing.
In my latest book, I dive into a world that was briefly explored in my previous trilogy. The realm of Irayth was created to serve as a prison for the dark god, Izaryle. The story follows a young elven girl, Inyalia as she begins her quest to become a member of the Ranger's Corps. However, when Izaryle is banished to Irayth, the world is turned upside down. Inyalia is forced to find her place in this new world, one she no longer recognizes.
