Richard Bedard is a Harvard College graduate and finance editor. He lives in Port Washington, NY, with his wife, Congyu, and daughter, Joelle and son, Elliot. When he has a free moment (not often!), he enjoys cycling and playing his acoustic guitar.
In his mid-40s, the author was diagnosed with patellofemoral pain syndrome, or chondromalacia patella (2nd ed.: Aug. 2017). Four doctors failed to help him. This inspiring story tells how he launched a year-long experiment to save his knees. He read from clinical studies, medical textbooks -- and was stunned to discover many things he was never told. He formed a plan and fully recovered.
