Richard Denoncourt is the author of fast-paced novels about epic quests, post-apocalyptic futures, teens with supernatural abilities, and dangerous journeys across strange and alien worlds.
One of his books is about a telepathic teenager in war-torn America, who struggles to avoid the government men that killed his mother while developing an ability that tempts him toward the darker side of power. (ASCENDANT)
Another is about a grieving father who goes to a hellish underworld by entering a train tunnel, all to save his 4-year-old daughter's soul while risking his own. (TRAINLAND)
His largest project of all is a series of fantasy novels beginning with SAVANT, in which a teenager discovers that his parents are demigods hiding among humans, and that he must embark on a journey in a mythical world known as Astros to save his family from a fate worse than death. (THE LUMINETHER SERIES)
If you like zombie survival stories, he has also written a novella about a young man who must leave his fortified house for the first time in three years to find medicine for his dying father, a journey that will take him across a ruined town filled with flesh-hungry monsters and raiders who prey on survivors like him. (OUTBREAK)
As for credentials, he studied philosophy and literature at Colgate University, earned an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School, and has published several short stories in minor literary journals that he's pretty sure no one will ever read (if they can even find them).
And now, the promotional stuff...
