Biography

Richard G. Heft was born in NYC, NY (1952). Attended, graduated University of Pittsburgh (1971- 74); Kushi Institute (1979-80), Dietary experimentation:1974- 1989: lacto ovo vegetarian- lacto vegetarian- vegan- raw foods- fruitarian- sproutarian- macrobiotic (10 years). In 1984, purchased a small health food store in Hollywood, FL, renaming it Food and Thought (1984-2001). Enrolled and graduated from the Acupressure Acupuncture Institute (1989-91), Miami, FL with a degree in acupuncture, nutrition, and massage. Licensed professionally, Acupuncture Physician (FL 1992-2002). For ten years or more, questioned and counseled his customers (400+ per week), always asking the same question, "What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?" in relation to their symptoms, diseases, supplement purchase, etc. Discovered most people were eating too hot (yang, building) or too cold (yin, cleansing) thereby developing symptoms, diseases that were too hot or too cold. Developed one diet (central theme plus two variations and herbs) via Chinese, Ayurvedic and Western nutrition and diet) to not only maintain health but also cure disease. The following diseases were cured by this diet: Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Gastro-Intestinal Reflux Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Plantar Fasciitis, neuralgia, miscarriage, acne, psoriasis, eczema, insomnia, obesity, tooth abscess, root infection, anal fissure, anxiety, constipation, sinusitis, impotence, common cold and sore lower back.
