Rick Ramsey

Biography

I was born and spent my first few years living free on a ranch in Southern Chile. My mother, grandmother, sisters, aunts, and cousins did their best to civilize me during the years I lived within the confines of Lima, Peru. The San Francisco Bay Area and Boston, Massachusetts also tried and also failed during the many years I toiled there. Now I live in a small mountain valley in Colorado with my wife of 27 years, our critters, some bears, mountain lions, coyotes, birds of prey and a great big sky.
I worked as a technical for most of my career, much of it at Sun Microsystems, the greatest company that ever was. I spent a few years working on BigAdmin and the Oracle Technology Network. I now write for the Cloud team at Ericsson.
When I'm not working or writing novels, I take motorcycles apart and try to put them back together, I go on long rides, and I delight in the visits from my daughters.
