Santoshan (Stephen Wollaston)

Biography

Stephen lives in the east end of London. He was given the name Santoshan (contentment) by an English swami in the mid-90s. In his early 20s, he played in one of London’s first punk rock bands, The Wasps. He has studied transpersonal psychology, typographic design, and holds a degree in religious studies and a postgraduate certificate in religious education from King’s College London. He has served as a Council member of GreenSpirit for several years, is a member of its editorial and publications committee, the designer of GreenSpirit magazine, and recently worked as a coordinator of academic writing for a medical university in the Middle East.

He has authored, coauthored and edited several books on spiritual matters, including 'The House of Wisdom: Yoga Spirituality of the East and West' (Mantra Books 2007); 'Spirituality Unveiled: Awakening to Creative Life' (Earth Books 2011); 'Rivers of Green Wisdom: Exploring Christian and Yogic Earth Centred Spirituality' (GreenSpirit ebook series 2014; printed edition 2016); 'Realms of Wondrous Gifts: Psychic, Mediumistic and Miraculous Powers in the Great Mystical and Wisdom Traditions' (free revised Smashwords edition and low-cost revised printed edition 2018); and the multi-authored 'Pathways of Green Wisdom: Discovering Earth Centred Teachings in Spiritual and Religious Traditions' (GreenSpirit ebook series 2015; printed edition 2016).
