Ron Lee Jones

Ron Lee Jones is an Arizona native. He grew up in Mesa, a suburb of Phoenix, in a loving home as the youngest of eight children. He learned at an early age to work hard and to love the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. When he was young, his family worked for years on a ranch near Rico, Colorado, and he spent many hours riding ponies and horses among the pines and aspens of the Colorado Rockies. Ron has worked on other ranches in Utah and Wyoming and worked one season as a hunting guide. Ranching, horses, guns, hunting, and the outdoors are in his blood. Ron believes the United States Constitution was divinely inspired and that adherence to the Constitution will provide the greatest degree of liberty for Americans.

Smashwords Interview

What messages do you want to share in your books?
Beyond just telling good stories, I want to share three messages: 1) the Constitution is very wise to guarantee us the right to bear arms to be able to defend ourselves against evil people or oppressive government, when that occurs; 2) I want people to wake up and be prepared with a weapon and with good training and with forethought to be able to defend themselves and innocent people around them, when the need arises; and 3) I want women to realize that self-defense is not just for men.
What are you working on next?
My next book is about terrorism in Arizona, and good people with concealed weapons trying to save lives and stop the terrorism. The story line also involves an FBI agent who is trying to get to the root source of the terror cell. His wife is also affected by the terrorism and learns the value of the second amendment and of people who are prepared to defend themselves and those around them. It includes how each instance of terrorism affects everyday people, and how it impacts their lives.
