Robert James Jackson
Robert Jackson was born at home in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1935. In 1945 his family moved to a farm west of Ravenna, where hard work and long hours toughened him for the slings and arrows of life’s adventures. After four years in the U.S. Air Force intelligence service, he returned to Grand Rapids and an ill-fated first marriage and a career with IBM. Following a divorce, he met and wooed his current wife/life partner in Muskegon, Michigan and has enjoyed 36 years of wedded bliss. He and his wife, Carol, have two adult children, Jeanette and Kevin.
Robert began writing seriously in 1983, beginning the manuscript for StoneRealm. IBM transferred him to Southfield, Michigan, and retired him early in 1987. He continued writing while he returned to Whitehall where he founded the Lakeshore Writer’s Group, then later, moved to Norton Shores where he currently resides. A writers group currently meets in his home.
Robert is now completing the last few chapters of his next book, Desire that Stings the Heart, a novel of the Trojan War, exposing the mythic magic, personal heartbreaks and foibles of a Bronze Age feud.
