Robert L. Van Kirk
Robert L. Van Kirk spent his formative years in a small, West Virginia city along the Ohio River, a delightfully quirky spot which has inspired much of his writing.
When asked about the most important artistic influences on his life, he is quick to reply, “The Marx Brothers, Woody Allen in his early years, Will Ferrell, Dave Barry, and Carl Hiaasen. Oh yeah, and Shakespeare, Tolstoy, and Thomas Wolfe too.”
He is a retired investment industry executive who lives in New Bern, North Carolina with his wife, Michelle, and their two dogs.

Wormwood Beyond Dead
by Robert L. Van Kirk
Junior Lament is expanding his business empire with a crazy scheme to steal and sell organs from his retirement home clients, and bodies from his funeral home competitors. And build an Indian casino—without any Indians.
His problems proliferate when the confused cast of characters, including private detective Ty Svenson, ends up at the casino during a winter fashion show—in the heat of August.
