Robin Dermond Horspool

Robin Dermond Horspool, F.R.S.A. comes from a literary and artistic Yorkshire family – his father, Maurice Horspool, businessman, dramatist and broadcaster; his grandfather Robert Horspool, artist, writer and poet. Robin has lived and worked in Yorkshire, London, Sussex, and France. As a practising artist, writer and lecturer, his previous publications, illustrated by him, include The House Of Powolny – Life and Death of a Hull Restaurant; Boyle A Quart Of Cream – 18th century country house life through food, and Avenues Of Pleasure – a nostalgic account of formative years and their environment. Like Siegfried Sassoon, he is happy in his craving to revisit the past and give the modern world the slip.Robin and his artist wife Rose live in a converted chapel in a Yorkshire Wolds village where they run their own arts business.
