Robyn Lee Burrows

Biography

Robyn Lee Burrows is an internationally published author of four non-fiction books and seven novels, several of which have been translated into German and published by Bastei Lübbe.

In 1989, after completing some creative writing courses, Robyn started her writing career with a small historical volume on her local town, published in December of that year. Researching the historical aspects of that book led to some plot ideas, which eventually turned into her first historical novel, When Hope is Strong, published by Pan McMillan in 1995. Robyn has learnt a lot about Australia, and its history, while researching books to ensure their authenticity, and her books are rich with her love for the country and its people.

Robyn has recently moved to Tamworth, Australia’s country music capital. In her spare time, Robyn enjoys spending time with her husband, Graeme, watching good movies, dining out, catching up with family and friends, and, naturally, reading.
