Hi I’m Roger. I live in the grand ole bluegrass state of Kentucky. Over the years I have written many poems, a few short stories, some riddles and so on. I never really attempted to publish or distribute any of them and now I guess you might say they are lost in the pages of history.
Happiness Stays Together---is my first novel so I figured what the heck; I’ll give it a try and see what the readers think of the story. Though I have sold several copies, a few paperbacks and several on cd but never really tried that hard to get it in the public, mostly because I didn’t know how or where, but so far everyone who has read it say they liked it and it is very emotional and a good clean book for elders to read.
The Last Son---which I worked on and off for almost a year and over 80,000 words, about two 8 year old boys. One holds the power of a higher level of awareness; the other holds the anger of his surroundings and upbringing. Maybe I might give this on a try in the publishing and distributing field.
Until Death Finds Him---this one I haven’t yet finished. With only three days left on his tour in Vietnam, a critical wound causes a young soldier’s life to flash before his eyes from the first time he saw his true love.
Sometimes when I sit down to write, it seems like those words just come right out of that pen by themselves, but other times that pen just does not want to write at all. It seems that early in the morning is when I write my best poems and my pen really wants to work. Might it possibly be one of those mood things?
I also enjoy working with wood at times, raising a garden, watching the baby goats play and just ginnin round the house when I can.
Let me know how you like my story…Thanks and have a great day…Roger
I will be posting more on paperback and website later so come on back from time to time.
