Liz Kuba went to Missouri University of Science and Technology and received a degree in Ceramic Engineering. She currently resides in St. Louis and tries to stay as active in the community as possible. She loves cars, sewing, and reading (of course). She has two cats (Fidget and Toki) that sometimes get along, but mostly just leave fur everywhere.
Who are your favorite authors?
C S Friedman is probably my favorite author. Others the I enjoy are David Eddings and Eric Nylund.
What is your favorite book, and why?
Hands down, my favorite book is This Alien Shore, by C. S. Friedman. The plot is a masterpiece, with the characters of several different story lines meeting up and falling into place for the climax of the book. The characters themselves are diverse and deep, and Ms Friedman does a wonderful job of celebrating non-neurotypical people. The setting, even though it's hundreds of years in the future, doesn't take place on Earth, and effectively has aliens, feels like such a natural extension of our modern society. I read it at least once a year.
