Nanette Buchanan

I am Nanette Buchanan, a native of Newark, New Jersey. I am a proud mother, wife and grandmother. I am currently an employee of the State of New Jersey and look forward to retiring and writing full time. I began writing while attending Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Poetry, children stories and now novels are a part of my writing experience. My poems have been read publicly, sold as greeting cards, and as personalized gifts. After spinning my wheels, I have found that writing is not only my passion but my business. I Pen Designs was founded and I Pen Books, a subsidiary became my publishing company.

My novels have opened new avenues for my literary experience. Not only have I rekindled my love for writing but found purpose in promoting literacy and the performing arts through "The Author's Den". Through a collaboration of authors, poets, and performing artists it has become our mission to promote, and support literacy within our community.
