Home Again is a lovely story about friendships, new beginnings & challenges. A soon-to-be single mother is trying to raise her city born & bred son back in her old home town...going from Chicago to the small town of about 2000 residents. Of course he's not happy and can't make any friends, so Mom is getting a bit frazzled between his snarky attitude and trying to find a job. Her best friend from high school still lives & works there, so she becomes the soothing voice when things go off the rails....well except when she goes a bit off the rails herself!
Throw in a handsome sheriff, a stray Momma dog complete with a litter of pups, a good looking vet to take care of them, a tornado, a run down truck, a nasty registered letter from Chicago and a show-up-on-the-doorstep-about-to-be-ex looking for a favor and you have plenty of ingredients for an exciting, yet touching romp through small town life & love.
I did feel there was a bit too much giggling going on for the age group, but I've been chasing old for a while now, so maybe I just don't remember how amusing things can be in your late 20's! All in all a good beach read, or snuggle by the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate kind of book and I recommend it.
