Biography

Sadie Duarte is a Spanish writer/scriptwriter, translator, teacher and filmmaker. She holds a B.A. in English Studies, an M.A. in British & Hollywood Cinema and also has many literary awards for short stories. Her first fiction book for teenagers "Alas para Soñar" (Wings to Dream), a story about a young ballerina who has to deal with disability, was published - only in Spanish and for charity purposes - by Libros Certeza several years ago. Sadie has recently translated into Spanish Ia Uaro's book Sydney's Song (La Canción de Sydney), which is already available on Amazon.Sadie Duarte's new illustrated fantasy novel for young adults, Souls of Fire, came out in English and Spanish in March 2013. Sadie Duarte has just produced, written and directed a 45-minute musical film in English titled DMus with the help of an American team in LA directed by filmmaker Steve Royall.
