Sam Kelly was born and educated in Ashton, Greater Manchester. He left school at fourteen and was apprenticed to an Electrician.
He joined the Army in 1941 and saw service in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany with the Armoured Corps.
The Author was Married in 1944 and celebrated his 68th anniversary in 2012.
Sam brought his family to Australia in 1952 and retired in 1982, after travelling around Britain, the Continent and Australia. He decided to write a book, this is his first novel and while trying to get it published he has been writing the sequel. Sam loves watching football.
