What motivated you to become an indie author?
Lyme disease. I know it's an unusual answer, but after fighting Lyme disease for the past few years, it motivated me to take the plunge and get my work out there. Writing is one of the few things that takes my mind completely off my illness, so sharing my work and having others enjoy it as well is very rewarding.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean everything to me. I'll never forget my first fan email I received a month or so after publishing Hope. At that point, I wasn't sure if anyone liked the book at all and I was considering not making it into a trilogy as planned. After I received the email, all thoughts of not continuing the trilogy vanished. It's a huge burst of confidence that the book will succeed.
