Sandra Page


Sandra Page grew up in Miami, Florida, where her father worked for Pan Am. Her family traveled widely. On a trip to Guatemala and Mexico when Sandra was nine, she met the Maya for the first time. The people, their history, and their culture captivated her. She has long yearned to tell a story that captures their ancient glory and the mystery of their decline.
Ms. Page is a graduate of Florida State University, where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history. After a decade of teaching in schools in Florida and Georgia, she entered law school at Mercer University in Georgia, where she graduated magna cum laude. She worked as a trial lawyer for twenty-three years and lives in Georgia with her attorney husband and their toy poodle, Murphy.
