When did you first start writing?
I first started writing when I took an advanced creative writing course in high school. We were tasked with writing poems, essays, white papers, and stories.
One very important lesson I learned from that experience was the power of the written word - how words can be crafted to convey a message in such a way as to evoke a particular emotional response from a reader, or get them thinking about something in a way they never have before, or to respond to a call to action. Writers are wordsmiths.
I never forgot that lesson and have consciously used it in writings throughout my career, whether it is in my published books, proposals I write for someone, guides I write for my business clients, blog posts on my website, social media posts, or emails I send out.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I developed a cash flow management software tool called CASH FLOW MOJO ® for my business owner clients and launched it back in 2006, then started writing training tools for the users of my software.
Later on I realized that a good way to teach more entrepreneurs about cash flow management was to write a book about how to do it correctly since it is a subject that is not taught in any business course in any educational institution. I included important lessons I had learned as a business owner about managing money, and stories about how it had helped some of my clients.
Titled "UNLEASH YOUR CASH FLOW MOJO" the book is a short, easy-to-read guide to proper business cash flow management. It is like getting the cliff notes of an MBA program in 65 pages, and has proven to be very popular with business owners and entrepreneurs.
