In order to fall asleep Sasha Beattie likes to envisage fantasy worlds that are often still there on waking. When she’s not running after her two children and husband or the two dogs, the cat and the chickens she’s furiously writing to get the wild imaginings out of her head and onto paper. This is Sasha’s second anthology having played the parts of editor and author for Speculative Realms: Where There’s a Will There’s a Way. She’s also had a short story published in Docklands News. In spite of a vivid imagination and a craving for all things fantasy she’s come to realise that what might have sounded like a skirmish between wizards and dragons was more than likely the possums fighting in the roof.
From thirteen Australian writers comes a collection of original speculative fiction short stories that will take you from the great unknown of our own planet, to the stars, and beyond to mystical fantasy worlds. These stories of 'hope' are accompanied by short snippets of information on suicide.
