Biography

Hailing from Virginia S. Brown has been writing since childhood. Always a fan of historical romances she yearned to read about characters she could identify with, women who looked like her and who had their own personal struggles but achieved their 'happily ever afters'. Her first effort All IN Need: A Novel took three years to complete and is described by Brown as "a labor of and testament to love". She is diligently working on her follow-up, Jacob & Coco, and other works.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Not to disclose much about myself, because I do value my privacy and that of my families, but I grew up in a small county in Virginia not far from Richmond. My life as a child was pretty normal, I saw a lot and I did a lot, and that is what I go to when I'm writing.
When did you first start writing?
Let my friends tell it when I came out of the womb, but to be perfectly honest, I was writing at a very young age. I had my second grade teacher pay me $.40 for ice cream for short stories that I would write. I loved to write, and I had sort of fell out of the habit when I became older, but when I got back into it, I did so with a vengenance!
