James Siler, Jr

James Siler Jr. was born in Philadelphia, Pa and raised in both Philly and Sedalia, North Carolina. He was raised around music his whole life. His mother could sing and his father played a numerous amount of instruments which automatically helped develop an interest in music in him. James studied music theory(piano) since he was 5 years old. This gave him the back-bone he needed to thoroughly root himself into the science of music. He went to college in North Carolina and minored in business so he could root himself with the basics of business. He also became a part of a internationally, well known drum-line called "Cold Steel" in college which helped polish his leadership skills. God knew what he was doing by directing him down the path he was taking because James was about to experience a dramatic lifestyle change. During his sophomore year at North Carolina A&T State University, James was introduced to professional depths of the music industry by learning hands-on how to become a sound engineer in a professional state of the art studio while working with professional/ national talent. He knew that learning engineering would be like being a car mechanic in this economy. Everyone will need one sooner or later. Working at this major studio allowed James to network with everyone involved in any session, from the executives down to the groupies, and most of all, have FREE access to use the recording studio any time he wanted. He worked as a professional sound engineer/ producer and then mix engineer, for over 19 years which gave him the most profound wisdom about how the music industry really works behind the scene. James started a company by the name of SILER Entertainment Group that would focus on artist development, music theory and business education so that the many people interested in perusing a music career has a heads up on what they were getting themselves into. Siler Entertainment Group was founded in 2006 as a business devoted to implementing national programs that support the arts and culture, unite communities and strengthen families through non-traditional cross-cultural entertainment.

SILER Entertainment's vision is to enhance awareness and appreciation to the importance of positive interaction between cultures, families and communities, by developing successful long-term relationships through partnerships with private and public resources with similar views, while exposing the negative..
