What does your desk look like?
My desk sits in a nook, overlooking my front yard. There are several bird feeders, a fountain and water dishes available for the critters to come visit. My cat Ardy sits on the windowsill and chatters at the birds.
I keep a pair of my husband's reading glasses on my desk so when I say, "Why is my screen blue?" He can quickly grab his spare pair and fix my problem in a jiffy.
I keep the postcards and letters from my fans handy as a reminder as to why I'm in this crazy profession.
I usually have a pile of swag lying around; ready to send to a reader who took the time to comment on one of my books.
I always have a stack of edits that I'm working on from my wonderful critique group.
My husband bought me this wonderful frame that says, "Obey the rules? NEVER!" I love it.
Last, but not least, I always keep copies of my paperbacks on my desk to inspire me to keep writing.
Where do you hail from and what do you love most about your hometown?
I'm a true-blue Washington-Ionian. I was born and raised in the Seattle area and moved to the Olympic Peninsula in 1990.
I love the close proximity to the mountains, water and of course a short Ferry ride to Seattle.
