I like exploring the minds of my characters and pushing their boundaries (like I do in my own life). As I push theirs, they push mine. Together, we explore the dark and cobwebbed corners of our minds. We may be frightened by what we find, but together, we'll get out alive.
I write quirky and sexy women's fiction. Not quite romance. Not quite erotica. Not quite chic lit.
I also have a love for music, hockey, and not wearing pants.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Being alive and being able to write and be creative.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story behind The Sound of Madness... It was inspired by Shinedown's album The Sound of Madness. I was listening to the album and one evening on my drive home from work, the main character popped into my head and started telling my stories based off of each song title. I was in the middle of writing something else so I kind of pushed her and the idea aside. I'm glad I did that. I don't think I was ready to write for Nadia when she came to my mind, but when I finally started writing for her, the timing was perfect. I learned a lot through her. She has been my favorite character to write for so far.
