Sian Turner

Biography

I was born in South Wales, but moved to East Sussex with my family when still a toddler.

My early career was in finance, administration and human resources. Then I worked as a secondary school teaching assistant for three very rewarding yet challenging years. I began writing fiction a few years ago and am a member of Shorelink Writers.

'Turning Points', (set in the 1940s and 50s) was my debut novel, and has a sequel, entitled 'Doorsteps & Dreams' (taking the story into the 1960s).

My third novel, 'Splitting Infinities', is a contemporary novel with a bit of a psychological twist. I am now working on my fourth novel.

Cat-lovers should read 'Bitty Kitty Wibby: A Collection of Cat Tales' (mostly because 50% of profits will go to RSPCA Bluebell Ridge Cat re-homing centre in Hastings, who are a self-funded centre always grateful for donations to help them keep running).

I would be extremely grateful for any positive reviews and ratings for my books. Thank you!

Smashwords Interview

Who are your favorite authors?
I don't really have favourite authors. I do tend to read books written by women, and I prefer books with believable characters rather than gorgeous green-eyed goddesses and men with six-packs.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
If a cover picture has a hunky guy with a girl running her hands over his muscular torso - then I reject that book. I read the blurb and if it sounds good, I take a look at a sample. I try not to judge on just the first few pages. If I find the main character likeable, the storyline believable (or funny) and don't find too many errors that should have been spotted by copy-editing (one or two is OK, but after that I find it distracting), then I'll buy it.
