My name is John Modica. Something that most people do not know about is me is that storytelling runs deep in my veins. My passion for storytelling was discovered by an unexpected source - my grandma. She was my biggest fan. After showing her the home movies I edited and transferred to DVD, my grandma encouraged me to go to film school to develop my storytelling and editing skills.
While my grandma is no longer with us, I now have a sense of pride in my work by not hiding it away. To this day, her encouragement continues to fuel my desire to improve my work. Every story I develop is a challenge. I am not afraid of a challenge. Each challenge pushes my abilities further.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing in 2010. I started attending Academy of Art University and had to take storytelling classes.
Why so few titles if you have been writing since 2010?
When I first started writing, I didn't really plan on self publishing my work. As the years went by and my writing skills improved, I decided to start looking into self publishing my work.
