When did you first start writing?
I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Longer, actually. I have a school report card from when I was in grade 2 (so about 6 years old) that says, "Scott obviously enjoys writing stories". And as far as I know it has always been fantasy and sci-fi that I wrote (though I can't speak for that 6yr old). When I was in grade 4 I wrote an 11 chapter (11 page) sci-fi "novel" about visiting all the planets in our solar system. It was printed and bound and a copy was put in my school library. I was the only person who ever borrowed it.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've had good feedback from publishers (with personalised notes. One even allowed me to put his "a serious talent" quote on the cover of the book when I released it) but the feedback also came with a "not right for our line" comment as well. And I can't argue with that. I know my novels are a bit different. A bit hard to catagorise. So I figured I might as well get them out ito the world any way I could. I had faith in the stories and the feedback I 've had from readers has been positive as well.
