Kelly Kusumoto has written everything from music reviews in LA-based newspapers to lyrics for bands, copy for websites, reviews for travel sites, a screenplay that was turned into a short film and various short stories that have been published on websites around the world. Currently he is earning his BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University. He also writes screenplays and web copy for Los Yorkers Productions and Kiltic Studios.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
When it comes to social interaction, I am somewhat of a plaid-shirt, polkadot pants guy. So the only time I really feel I can express myself is when I write. It is liberating and frightening and exciting at the same time. The fact I can be myself and write, pretty much, whatever I want is the single greatest joy I get out of writing.
What are you working on next?
I am always working on something. I write for a film production company called Los Yorkers Productions, as well as a web/branding company called Kiltic Studios and I am always pumping out content for them. I try to write as many articles as I can for websites and review sites. I also write music and lyrics for my band Plastik Glasses. So I am always writing something. I am working on a full length novel as well as a full length screenplay and a couple short screenplays too. Now I guess what I should really be working on next is trying to make more money from all this writing!
Kelly Kusumoto has published five short stories on various websites across the globe. In his first self-published eBook, he brings each of these stories together and also includes three previously unpublished stories from his archive.
