Electric Literature no.1
on July 14, 2009
Electric Literature is perhaps the most exciting literary journal I have read in years. Each story in this first issue is captivating, intelligent, and moving. Despite being a brand-new publication, they have already managed to attract big names like Michael Cunningham and Jim Shepard, who have each contributed extraordinary work. And because the magazine is so simple and direct (just five short stories--no irrelevant non-fiction, or emo-doodles), it's the only literary magazine I can admit to having read cover-to-cover.
