K. Leslie

Hi, I'm a writer and an actress - although I made my start in science. I love to write, create, and imagine. I love to sing, play piano, and dance, whether I'm good at it or not. I have a degree in zoology, and a diploma in dramatic arts (those two go together, right?). Happy reading and writing everyone!

Smashwords Interview

How do you approach cover design?
I think the cover of the book is very important. Of course, a cover doesn't necessarily indicate whether the book content is a good read or not, but it can entice you to find out. Some covers are visually very appealing to me, and make me want to experience the plot and characters in the book. For my first e-book, I asked a good friend of mine to create the cover. I outlined some of the key elements of the book for her, and suggested a colour scheme.
What are your favorite books?
I enjoy a whole range of books and genres - romances, thrillers, classics, modern young adult fiction...the list goes on. Some of my favourites include 'Little Women' by Louisa M. Alcott, 'Treasure Island' by R. L. Stevenson, and 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen.
