Having read the previous review, it's always a little puzzling to me when the critics with the most scathing reviews don't seem to have published anything of their own on this site. Hmm, that's a conversation for another day. Let's get down to brass tacks with a review of this author's most recent work. I am very impressed with a number of things. Namely, as you can see, this was a NaNoWriMo novel. I myself have attempted NaNo a number of times but have never been successful so I have a special admiration for the work it takes to complete a novel in a month. (By the looks of it, it seems that this author exceeded the goal.)
I found the story itself to be a great end to this trilogy. Having lived in LA and San Diego, I was particularly pleased with the author's ability to capture the energy of these two cities. Because this is a community where authors can share their work in a supportive environment, any minor inconsistencies are inconsequential in my eyes. I'm so taken with this captivating storyline and that's what matters to be as a reader and a writer.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author!
