Ecclesiastes is a John-the-Baptist kind of book. It functions less as a meal; more as a bath. It is less nourishment; more cleansing. It is repentance. It is purging. A superb read! A cleverly crafted tale with interesting characters and plot you'll love. Very imaginative! Hard to put it down once you get started. The descriptions are so vivid, you'll feel like you're on location. I liked the pace and the aha moments that keep you wanting more. I hear the author is already working on her next book. I look forward to what she'll come up with next time. I recommend "Swallowed Ashes" to the young and the young at heart. Keep up the good work Meredith!
