Princess Kandake is now 15 and must begin life as a woman and Nubia’s future queen. There are so many decisions. Canshe become the ruler the kingdom deserves, continue to grow in strength as a Nubian warrior, be a good mother to her adopted daughter, and most of all, is she ready to become the wife she believes she must be?
Princess Kandake is forced to deal with the Sovereign of Scythia who questions her abilities because she is female. Kandake must rescue her sister from a power-hungry, throne-craving prince, and defend a friend whose honor could cost him his life. Kandake is in a position where she must choose between using her warrior skill or the diplomacy of a future queen.
Princess Kandake, youngest child of King Amani and heir to the throne of Nubia, has determined to continue her warrior training, but that is not the only thing that complicates her 14 year old life. Princess Kandake is sent to Egypt to find out why the pharaoh would need Nubia’s warriors to remain in Egypt any longer and why he has included a secret symbol within his message--help.
King Amani is at death's door and Princess Kandake must rule in his place. Prince Gadarat of Aksum believes Kandake should become his bride and presses the issue, but she wants no part of him or his plans.
Kandake travels to Aksum and the Prince seeks revenge. Can Kandake get back to Nubia without marrying the Prince or starting a war?
