Mind Slices: A Collection of New and Previously Published Stories

These stories are not for the faint-hearted; as much as he looks like a big teddy bear, Kevin has razor teeth and claws buried in his fiction. His writing is extremely vivid. Many of these stories are expressly Texan stories, and he brings summer Texas to life in several tales featuring heat, isolation, and humidity. When going to or through Texas, I never minded it much, because I found it a dry heat. But Kevin's wit is not a dry wit. It's a dark, scary wit. Recommended!
