Before Steven J. Daniels realized his dream of writing his first novel, he traveled the world working in professional sports, law enforcement, commercial aviation, politics and the entertainment industry. The end result is his own unique perspective, which he utilizes in his writing to enthral and entertain the reader.
Though conceived during a U.S. vacation trip, Steven J. lives in Canada with his wife Jill. If he is not working on his latest story, you can find him walking on the beach, grilling a variety of vegetables and animal body parts or indulging in his favorite pastime of pampering his wife like the Queen of Sheba.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My next word. My next sentence. My next ... breakfast, actually.
What is your writing process?
I will see something during the course of my day and it triggers the thought: "that should be in a book." The idea rolls around in my head for awhile ... a week, a month or longer. Sometimes the idea is dismissed and sometimes I write it down as a possible premise.
I keep thinking about the premise off and on and then ... Whammo! The beginning comes to me as clear as the opening of scene of a movie. The process begins, moves on, evolves and then it lives or it dies of natural causes.
