Sujit Basu received his Ph.D in Theoretical Physics from Patrice Lumumba University, Moscow, Russia, in 1984. Since 1985 he has been working at Space Applications Center, Ahmedabad, India in the areas of Satellite Oceanography and Satellite Meteorology. He has published more than hundred research papers in reputed journals and edited volumes. He has keen interest in literature and is author of a book of poems in Bengali. He has published poems in numerous literary journals. This is , however, his first novel.
He lives in Ahmedabad with his wife and daughter.
