Kei's Gift (Darshian Tales #1)

I loved the world-building and character development in this book. At times, my eyes prickled with unshed tears at the hardships the two main characters faced, as well as the difficulties the entire cast dealt with, but the overall ending made all the angst worth it. Definitely a book that leaves you feeling that you've left friends behind when you finish it.

I had no idea where this installment of the series was going to go, and reading about the choices Aleksander made and the decisions Silas was forced into was difficult at times, however, seeing how Oliver dealt made it all better. As each of them gave a little of themselves and the story continued, this crazy train just got better. I binged it in less than 24 hours because I was so involved in their story. Not for the faint of heart, but the darkness in the relationships contrasted with their sweet moments as well.
