Suzanne Meier

About the Author:

Born in Switzerland in 1970, Suzanne Meier has since lived in the US, Canada, Sri Lanka (during the war), Switzerland, England, and Cuzco, Peru. She now commutes between Santa Rosa, California and her native Zurich, Switzerland. Suzanne divides her time between being a freelance writer, a frantic program manager (she is still working for corporations and is beyond ready to transition into full-time writing), a coach, and a commonsensical human.

Suzanne has thus far enjoyed a full life packed with extraordinary experiences. At only four years old, little Suzanne told her mom she was going to move to the States. Mom had no idea where this desire came from at such a young age. However, Suzanne did as promised and crossed the Atlantic at age twenty. She studied at Cal State Long Beach then worked in international business as a successful program manager. After a few years, she switched to ebusiness to get a piece of the dot-com rage. That eventually led her back to a Swiss bank, where she managed several global Internet projects. She eventually accepted a challenge at what turned out to be one of the most successful large-scale tsunami rehabilitation programs in Sri Lanka. The Swiss government appointed her to this huge job, which she loved very much, until she came face to face with war and death in paradise. She barely made it out alive after an ambush killed twelve people. This experience deepened her commitment to, and interest in, the inner workings of life and being fully human. Hence, she studied clinical nutrition, meditation, yoga and became an avid observer of life, society, and the insanity in which we subsist.

Suzanne speaks four languages. She loves snowboarding, horseback riding, reading, politics, and nurturing her spirit, but thinks that of all her passions, writing is the only one somewhat comparable to breathing. Becoming Human Again is her first of many non-fiction books.

Becoming Human Again illustrates how off course we are as a society, how we subsist on autopilot, instead of live. Puppeteers run our lives. We fail to notice. We "do" and forget to "be". We succumb to the mass manipulation, with minds asleep. Wake up human race! It's time to get with it. Read this book to learn how checked out we are and how to pull your head out of the sand - permanently!
